assisted Grant Thornton in developing a strategic
planning document for the District of Columbia's
Chief Information Officer. Responsible for
assisting in development of strategic IT
direction for DC Government, BITS analyzed the
current IT processing environment and identified
major projects/functionality and goals. The
analysis mapped IT goals into the Mayor’s
overall objectives and analyzed current projects
for conformance to meeting the Mayor’s
goals.
BITS also assisted in development of the
city government's strategic vision and aided in
development of a document entitled "Elements
of the Strategic Plan". This document
identified major strategic IT components
(technology, human resources, and financial
resources) needed to implement the strategic
vision.
