| BITS is
currently assisting Lucent Technologies in
providing infrastructure and telecommunications
engineering services in support of the IRS'
Enterprise Systems Management (ESM) Strategy.
This effort is a subtask on the IRS PRIME
contract, and is responsible for providing
senior-level telecommunications engineering
services.
BITS
is analyzing telecommunications and computer
networks to identify integration possibilities
and is assisting in the development of overall
enterprise strategy by developing help desk and
asset management strategies. We are also
providing telecommunications engineering services
in support of the ESM vision deliverable by
analyzing, documenting, and discovering
end-to-end system components, interfaces, and
supported applications. Analyzing
network management applications and procedures
for possible systems improvements and redesign
are all part of this effort.
